Udaipur: As a tribute to Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap, an ultra marathon titled “The Fort Ultra – Every Mile is History” was organized from City Palace Udaipur to the pride of Rajputana, Chittorgarh Fort. The event commenced at 4:00 a.m. with a flag-off ceremony held at the historic Manak Chowk within the City Palace premises. The race was flagged off by ultra marathon runner Ramratan Jat.
Dr. Mayank Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, stated that the 100-mile marathon, held from March 1 to 2, covered the route from Udaipur to Haldighati and onward to Chittorgarh Fort. The event was organized with the support of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation. He said the marathon, passing through the Aravalli hills, was a symbolic tribute echoing the ideals and valor of Maharana Pratap.
Around 200 participants took part in the marathon, including active members of the Mewar Runners Group, making it a memorable historic sporting event.
On this occasion, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, President and Managing Trustee of the foundation, congratulated the runners and encouraged them for their remarkable effort.
