Udaipur: The Udaipur Tax Bar Association organized several social and educational programs during the month of March to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee Year (75 years). As part of these celebrations, various indoor games such as cards, chess, and ludo were organized at Abha Farm House. The chief guest for the program was CA Madhusudan Jhanwar. Around 40 members, their spouses, and about 10 children participated and enjoyed the event. Friendly sports competitions were also conducted among the members.
Association Secretary CA Ankush Jain informed that on the occasion of the organization’s 75th year, a special seminar on the Income Tax Act, GST, Company Act, and TDS was organized at the CTAE Placement Hall.
Association President CA Gautam Sukhlecha stated that during the first technical session of the seminar, Pawan Talesara, President of the Udaipur Tax Bar Charitable Society and a CA-CS professional, provided detailed information about the proposed amnesty scheme under the Company Act and highlighted its practical aspects.
In the second technical session, CA Saurabh Nagda discussed the latest GST updates and explained the important points that taxpayers should keep in mind while filing GST returns at the end of the financial year. He emphasized that by taking proper technical precautions while filing returns, future legal or technical complications can be avoided.
During the third main session, senior Chartered Accountant Rajesh Mehta from Indore provided detailed insights into important changes in the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the proposed Income Tax Act 2025, as well as provisions related to TDS–TCS and compliance requirements for the registration and taxation of charitable trusts and institutions.
On this occasion, Income Tax Officer (Exemption) Hempal Chaudhary from the Income Tax Department delivered an informative PPT presentation regarding income tax returns and registration processes for charitable institutions and trusts. He also guided the participants about common mistakes made while filling out return and registration forms and the problems that may arise due to such errors.
More than 100 participants attended the seminar, including Chartered Accountants, tax consultants, and advocates. During the seminar, subject experts addressed the technical queries of the participants and provided valuable guidance.
President CA Gautam Sukhlecha further informed that the association will organize a two-day RRC tour for members on 21 and 22 March 2026, which will include visits to Jawai Safari, Ranakpur, and Pawapuri Teerthdham. The tour aims to provide members with a social and friendly travel experience.
In his presidential address, CA Gautam Sukhlecha also announced that a Holi Milan ceremony and Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 28 March 2026 at Rotary Bajaj Bhavan, Rani Road. During the meeting, the association will present a report of its activities throughout the year.
On the same occasion, the new executive committees of the Udaipur Tax Bar Association and the Udaipur Tax Bar Charitable Society will be selected through the nomination committee chaired by CA Sudhir Mehta.
The Holi Milan celebration will also feature colorful cultural performances. Additionally, a special documentary film marking the completion of 75 years of the association will be unveiled, highlighting its social, educational, and organizational activities since its establishment.
At the end of the program, executive member Kalpesh Jain delivered the vote of thanks, while the association’s treasurer Chandraprakash Bansal invited all attendees and speakers for a fellowship dinner.
Members including Dilip Babel, Gaurav Vyas, Amit Tiwari, Ashish Ratanawat, Shailesh Maheshwari, C.S. Nanavati, H.S. Nanavati, Sandeep Lodha, Chandraprakash Baldi, Shashikant Mehta, Mohit Vanawat, Dinesh Kothari, Savita Gupta, Vimal Surana, and many others actively participated in the seminar.
