Young Udaipur Storyteller Honored Invitation

Udaipur | Young and talented storyteller Mrs. Shakuntala Paliwal has been specially invited to present a story recital in her mother tongue Rajasthani (Mayad Bhasha) at the Indian Art Festival to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan Nilayam, Hyderabad, on November 27. The festival is being organized under the joint auspices of South Central Zonal Cultural Centre, Nagpur, and the Central Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, where a vibrant representation of the art, literature, and folk traditions of Western India will be showcased.

Congratulations were conveyed by Prof. Vimal Sharma, who stated that despite serving as an officer in the Agriculture Department, she has remained actively engaged in literature and children’s literature. Three books authored by her have already been published, and she has been honored by several prestigious institutions. She has performed story readings, poetry recitations, and lectures on multiple platforms, including Asia’s largest literature festival.

Prof. Sharma expressed that presenting a story in Rajasthani on an international literary stage stands as a moment of pride not only for Mewar but also for the entire Rajasthani literary fraternity.

In his blessings, Prof. Sharma conveyed the message:

“The disciple reached literary heights,
Embraced writing in Mayad words bright.
Blessings for flourishing creative flight,
May your name soon shine worldwide.”
