India Will Become a Global Leader with the Message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”: Mahant Mukesh Nath Maharaj

Udaipur: Mahant Mukesh Nath Maharaj, the national coordinator of the Vishva Hindu Mahasangh (India) and spiritual brother of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath, arrived in Udaipur on Friday for a two-day tour of Mewar. He received a grand welcome upon his arrival. Speaking to the media, Maharaj said that India will certainly emerge as a global leader because it has all the qualities required to become one.

Addressing the press conference, Mahant Mukesh Nath Maharaj said that greatness does not come from wealth alone — capability and merit are equally important. “People across the world today acknowledge India’s strength because our nation follows the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Unity in diversity is India’s core identity. We take everyone along, considering all as brothers. India even supports nations like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh,” he said.

On the question of religious conversions, Maharaj stated that conversion is a serious issue. He said the Vishva Hindu Mahasangh opposes it, but resolving it requires legal measures by the central and state governments, not by religious or social organisations. He added that governments should also pay attention to issues related to cow protection.

When asked about the observance of “Hindu Vijay Diwas” on December 6, he said that it is not a festival. “Those who feel happy about the day may observe it, and those who do not may choose not to. It is up to individuals,” he remarked.

Responding to questions about the agenda of Kashi and Mathura after the Ayodhya temple, Maharaj said that these matters involve administrative processes and legal hurdles, and fall under the domain of political and legal authorities. “We follow religious principles. Building temples in Kashi and Mathura is a matter for the court and political leaders,” he said.

Commenting on the statement by Muslim leader Madani regarding the reconstruction of the Babri Masjid, Maharaj said that such thinking is his personal view. “To rebuild it, one would need to amend the Constitution again. The Babri structure no longer exists and can never be rebuilt,” he asserted.

Maharaj said that India is a vast nation whose hallmark is social equality and secularism. “One who speaks of Indian values belongs to India; one who promotes divisiveness, even if Hindu, is acting against the nation,” he said. He added that the Mahasangh works to promote Hindutva and Sanatan values and strives toward the vision of making India a Hindu nation. “A day will come when India becomes a Hindu Rashtra, Ram Rajya returns, and forces working against the country are defeated,” he said, clarifying that “Ravan” symbolizes anyone acting against the Constitution and society.

He mentioned that the Vishva Hindu Mahasangh Bharat is registered with the United Nations. Its former national president was Yogi Adityanath, who handed over the responsibility to Maharaj after entering politics. The organisation works in 160 countries on social harmony, is active in 25 states in India, and is expanding in Rajasthan. “We do not oppose any religion; we work to strengthen Hindutva,” Maharaj added.

Earlier, hundreds of devotees welcomed Maharaj upon his arrival.

Present on the occasion were National General Secretary and Rajasthan State President Kaushal Paliwal, National Organizing Secretary and Working President Jayashankar Rai, National General Secretary and State Head Dr. Rao Bahadur Singh, National Youth Wing President Rahul Bohra, National Executive Member and Minister Tushar Bohra, National Treasurer Lakshmi Thakur, District President Rakesh Bagora, and Udaipur Division President Vikas Gaud.
