Udaipur: A meeting of the Udaipur Dehat District Congress Committee was held to discuss preparations for the party’s proposed mega rally in Delhi. District Congress spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit informed that, following the call of the All India Congress Committee, detailed discussions were held regarding participation in the rally scheduled for 14 December.
District Congress President Raghuveer Singh Meena said that party workers from Udaipur Dehat would stand united in Delhi to strengthen the resolve of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to protect justice, the Constitution, and the right to vote. He stated that Rahul Gandhi has exposed the alleged vote theft happening in the country, yet neither the BJP nor the Election Commission has provided any answers.
According to Meena, these entities are more focused on controlling agencies to suppress democratic voices. He added that public anger against this alleged fraud is rising, and this discontent will be strongly visible at the Delhi rally. He accused the BJP of cutting votes under the guise of the SIR process, saying that the Congress would never tolerate such actions.
After the meeting, Meena also reviewed the efforts made by BLAs in six assembly constituencies under the district regarding the SIR process, along with local MLAs and MLA candidates.
For the proposed mega rally, the district committee set a target for each assembly constituency to send one bus of Congress office-bearers and workers to Delhi. Senior leaders traveling by their own means were asked to inform the district Congress so that complete details of participants and vehicles could be submitted to the Pradesh Congress Committee by tomorrow.
