Udaipur: The third day of the Amrita Haat Fair witnessed a unique blend of enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and awareness activities. Throughout the day, sports competitions and women empowerment initiatives energized the fair, while cultural performances in the evening added vibrancy to the celebrations.
Under the banner of the Amrita Premium League 2026, a tug of war competition was organized by sports teachers Sunil and Anil. The Chief Guest of the event was boxer and Brand Ambassador of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, Jhalak Tomar, who motivated the participants.
The competition was held between the hostel students of RNT Medical College and members of women’s Self-Help Groups. In an exciting contest, the women’s Self-Help Group emerged victorious, showcasing unity and collective strength. The winners were honored with mementos and prizes by the Chief Guest.
In her address, Jhalak Tomar said, “Sports teach us confidence, discipline, and the spirit of struggle. Daughters can excel in every field; they only need opportunities and encouragement.”
On this occasion, Mohit Trivedi, Branch Manager of DCB Bank, conducted a special session for women on protection against banking fraud. He provided guidance on safe digital payments, not sharing OTPs, being cautious of suspicious calls, and adopting cybersecurity measures.
Representatives from the District Legal Services Authority, including Santosh Ji and Advocate Krishna Shweta, informed women about free legal aid, counseling services, and various government schemes. They explained that legal protection is available for women and girls in need.
A grand magic show held at night entertained children and women attending the fair. Colorful performances and astonishing magic tricks captivated the audience.
So far, stalls operated by women’s Self-Help Groups at the fair have recorded sales of approximately ₹3.90 lakh. This achievement marks a significant step toward promoting women’s entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
The event was effectively and gracefully anchored by Gender Specialist Vimla Veerawal. In her address, she stated that the Amrita Haat Fair is not merely a commercial platform but a gateway of opportunities for women and girls. She emphasized that when daughters are connected with education, sports, legal awareness, and economic self-reliance, real social transformation becomes possible. The growing participation of women’s Self-Help Groups reflects their readiness to lead in every field. She added that such events boost women’s confidence, strengthen social engagement, and inspire girls to realize their dreams.
