Udaipur: Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the district administration remains committed to ensuring a festive, safe, and law-abiding environment during upcoming celebrations. In view of the forthcoming Holi festival, the holy month of Ramadan, and other events, a meeting of the District Peace Committee was held on Friday at the Zila Parishad auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector and District Magistrate Namit Mehta. Representatives of various community organizations and CLG (Community Liaison Group) members were present.
The meeting focused on ensuring that upcoming festivals and religious events are celebrated in a peaceful, harmonious, and joyful atmosphere. Members of the committee shared suggestions with the administration regarding law and order, traffic management, and other related concerns.
On the occasion, Collector Mehta stated that festivals are moments of happiness and must not disrupt law and order. He urged citizens to celebrate with mutual harmony and responsibility, ensuring that their actions do not cause inconvenience to others. He emphasized preventing unnecessary tension and appealed that individuals under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants should not participate in social gatherings.
He further advised that information about social events should be shared with the police administration in a timely manner. Continuous monitoring of public places is being carried out through CCTV cameras, and necessary guidelines have been issued to all departments to avoid inconvenience to the public during festivals. He also urged citizens to strictly follow traffic regulations.

### Strict Action Against Rumor-Mongering – SP Goyal
Addressing the meeting, District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal called upon citizens to celebrate festivals with harmony and goodwill while cooperating with the police in maintaining law and order. He cautioned against spreading rumors on social media, including objectionable or AI-generated content, and urged people to inform the police immediately if such content is circulated.
SP Goyal stated that individuals who share or make objectionable content viral will be held equally responsible as those who create it, and strict action will be taken against both.
The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Jitendra Ojha, Additional SP Umesh Ojha, officials from various departments, police station officers, representatives of social organizations, Peace Committee members, and CLG members.
