“One District One Product” Marble and Granite Exhibition Inaugurated on Rajasthan Day

Udaipur: As part of the “One District One Product (ODOP)” initiative by the state government, a marble and granite exhibition was organized at the Town Hall, Udaipur under the joint aegis of the district administration and municipal corporation to mark Rajasthan Day. The exhibition was inaugurated by Phool Singh Meena, MLA of Udaipur Rural.

During the event, the MLA highlighted that Udaipur is famously known as the Marble City, owing to its extensive marble and granite mines and processing units. Shailendra Sharma, General Manager of the District Industry & Commerce Center, informed that Udaipur excels in marble processing, polishing, and value addition. Clusters of marble cutting and processing units are located in Rishabhdev and Sukher areas, producing value-added products from green, pink, onyx, and white marble, which are exported nationally and internationally.

The exhibition showcased products from local marble and granite units, aiming to promote local producers and provide them with better market opportunities. Participating units included Pushpa Exports, Unnati Arts, Tilo Pvt. Ltd., Meridian Marble, Esprit Stone, Shri Banarasi Marble Stone Pvt. Ltd., Tirupati Impex, Alankan Mirl, Tulsi Techno Craft Pvt. Ltd., among others.

The event was attended by officials including Shailendra Sharma (GM, District Industry & Commerce Center), Devyani Dodia (Assistant Commissioner), Chokharam (District Industry Officer), Prince Parmar, and Khyalilal Khatik (District Project Manager, Rajeevika).
