A Yoga Festival 2026 was आयोजित at the National Pilgrimage site Pratap Gaurav Kendra. The event was jointly organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (under the Ministry of AYUSH), Arbudaranya Arogya Sansthan, Pratap Gaurav Kendra, and the Rajasthan Chapter of the Indian Yoga Association.
The program commenced at 7:00 AM, with a large number of participants practicing the Common Yoga Protocol. Yoga instructor Pushpdeep led the session in accordance with the guidelines set by the Government of India.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Rahul Jain, Principal of RNT Medical College. Distinguished guests included retired Dean Dr. Mahip Bhatnagar and Dr. Rajveer Singh, Vice President of NMO Udaipur Metropolitan Unit. The program was chaired by Anurag Saxena, Director of Pratap Gaurav Kendra.
While conducting the program, Himanshu Paliwal, Joint Secretary of the Indian Yoga Association, stated that the initiative aims to provide training in the Common Yoga Protocol and promote wider participation in International Yoga Day events.
He emphasized that yoga is an invaluable gift from India to the world. Indian culture envisions the well-being of all (“Sarve Bhavantu Niramaya”), and yoga plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Since the United Nations recognized International Yoga Day, yoga has gained global prominence, with people worldwide adopting it for better health.
The event witnessed participation from students of local schools and colleges, representatives of yoga institutions, members of various social organizations, public representatives, officials, and citizens. Key contributors to the event included Manohar Paliwal, Shyam Singh, Achal Shankar Sharma, Naman, and others.
Approximately 800 people participated in the program.
