346th Special Medical Camp and Akhand Avart Kirtan Organized

Udaipur: As part of the week-long programs organized to mark the 105th birth anniversary of Shri Shri Anandamurti, founder of Ananda Marga Pracharaka Samgha, a series of events continued on Sunday.

In the early morning, a Prabhat Pheri (morning procession) was held in Chitrakoot Nagar under the leadership of Diocese Secretary Avadhutika Ananda Krishna Acharya, with participants chanting the Mahamantra “Baba Nam Kevalam.”

Following this, at the Jagrti premises located on Tekri-Madri Road, the Ananda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), Udaipur organized its 346th special medical camp for patients suffering from diabetes, thyroid disorders, arthritis, high blood pressure, and heart diseases.

Bhukti Pradhan Dr. S. K. Verma stated that this special medical camp has been held regularly for the past 30 years on the last Sunday of every month. In this 346th camp, around 60 patients received free tests including blood sugar, blood pressure, lipid profile, and thyroid hormone examinations. Dr. Verma also provided medical consultations and distributed appropriate medicines.

On this occasion, Dr. Verma remarked that the continuity of the camp is due to the trust of patients, adding that ultimately the power to cure diseases lies with God. Volunteers who have been consistently serving in these monthly camps—Jagdish Gaur, Jagdish Agrawal, Surendra Jain, Girdharilal Soni, and Nathu Singh—were honored for their dedication. Refreshments were also provided to all patients, courtesy of Jagdish Ji.

After the medical camp, an Akhand Avart Kirtan of the eight-syllable Siddha Mahamantra “Baba Nam Kevalam” was conducted for one prahar (approximately three hours). Notably, this uninterrupted three-hour clockwise kirtan was organized for the second time at Udaipur Jagrti, making it a significant and historic occasion.

The event concluded with collective Dharmachakra, group meditation (Ishwar Pranidhan), scriptural study, self-study sessions, and a community meal.

Dr. Verma added that this was the third program held as part of the birth anniversary celebrations organized around the occasion of Vaishakhi Purnima.
