Grand Celebration of International Nurses Week at PMCH

Udaipur : A week-long celebration was organized at Pacific Medical College & Hospital (PMCH), Udaipur to commemorate International Nurses Day, marking the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale (May 12), the pioneer of modern nursing. The event featured various creative, educational, and cultural activities, aimed at recognizing and encouraging the invaluable contributions of nursing professionals.

The closing ceremony was held in the presence of Executive Director Aman Agrawal, President of Pacific Medical University Dr. M.M. Mangal, PMCH Principal Dr. Ummed Singh Parihar, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, Medical Director Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Medical Superintendent Vivek Trivedi, Nursing Superintendent Bharatlal Patidar, and the entire nursing staff. They offered floral tributes and lit ceremonial lamps before the portrait of Florence Nightingale, followed by cake-cutting and greetings extended to the nursing team.

During the event, nurses providing outstanding services in the field were specially honored for their excellence and dedication.

Executive Director Aman Agrawal emphasized that Florence Nightingale’s life symbolizes service, sacrifice, and compassion, and encouraged everyone to draw inspiration from her legacy to serve patients with excellence. He acknowledged that nurses play a vital and irreplaceable role in hospital operations.

President Dr. M.M. Mangal praised the nursing profession, stating that nurses are the backbone of any healthcare institution, and their patience, commitment, and compassion in patient care are truly commendable.

Nursing Superintendent Bharatlal Patidar welcomed all guests and expressed pride in celebrating the week, calling it a moment of reflection and honor. He extended his best wishes to the entire nursing staff and encouraged them to continue their dedicated service in the future.

The Nursing Week featured quiz competitions, poster presentations, role plays, health education sessions, and cultural programs, which witnessed enthusiastic participation by the nursing staff.
