Udaipur - Paras Health in Udaipur successfully rescued a patient from a severe neurological condition, granting them a new lease on life. The individual was brought to Paras Health due to a sudden heart attack, but during admission, they suffered a brain stroke. Following this, the Neurology and Interventional Neurophysician team at Paras Health, Udaipur, comprising Senior Consultants Dr. Tarun Mathur and Dr. Manish Kulshreshtha, performed a modern mechanical thrombectomy procedure to rectify the situation and offer a fresh start. Dr. Tarun Mathur explained that the 63-year-old patient had undergone thrombolysis for a heart attack. Some relatives brought him to Paras Health, Udaipur, for coronary angioplasty. However, four days after angioplasty, the patient suddenly experienced paralysis on the left side. During MRI, it was discovered that there was a blockage in the brain. Subsequently, the patient underwent treatment through the mechanical thrombectomy procedure, in which the main artery of the brain was opened using stent retrievers and catheters. The patient's condition has now improved, and they have been discharged. Dr. Manish Kulshreshtha noted that Paras Health, Udaipur, offers services for mechanical thrombectomy, which is relatively low-cost and requires minimal time, avoiding prolonged hospital stays, and facilitating comparative ease in rehabilitation. He emphasized that when the patient arrived at their facility, their condition was extremely critical, and careful treatment led to their complete recovery.
