SPSU Installs Biogas Plant- A Pioneering Step Towards Sustainable Development

The Dept. of Chemistry, Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur under the visionary leadership of President installed a Biogas plant on Jan 31, 2024. The project aims at establishing a working balloon type Bio Gas plant on the University campus, which will be cost-effective and eco-friendly. It will produce high-quality renewable fuel and reduce carbon dioxide and methane emissions. This is an initiative towards waste management along with the production good quality manure as by-product. The President emphasized the university's commitment to sustainable development and stressed that the installation of the biogas plant accentuates the institution's dedication to harnessing green energy resources and aligning with global efforts to reduce environmental impact.

The endeavour not only demonstrates university's progressive mindset and but also serves as a commendable model for adopting eco-friendly practices in academic institutions. President, CFO, Dean Research and International Affairs, Deans School of Engineering and Management, Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Heads, Faculty Members and Administrative staff of the university actively participated in the Bhoomi-Puja and sought the blessings of God Almighty for the successful culmination of the project.
