District Election Officer Directs BLOs to Accelerate SIR Work

Inspects EF distribution and informs voters about the SIR process in detail
Technical teams active at district and subdivision levels for resolving BLO issues

Sri Ganganagar: In compliance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, the intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is being carried out across Sri Ganganagar district. On Sunday, District Election Officer Dr. Manju inspected the ongoing EF distribution work in various areas of the Ganganagar Assembly Constituency. During the inspection, she reviewed the number of EFs distributed so far and issued necessary instructions to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

Starting early in the morning, Dr. Manju visited areas including Riddhi-Siddhi Phase I, Jagdamba Colony, and Hardeep Singh Colony to assess the EF distribution process. She instructed BLOs to expedite the pace of SIR work to ensure comprehensive voter mapping.

The District Election Officer personally met voters at their residences and explained the details of the SIR process, urging their cooperation. She stated that by providing accurate information in the EF forms, voters can contribute to strengthening democracy. The aim of the SIR is to make the electoral roll updated, accurate, and error-free so that no eligible citizen is left out and no ineligible person remains on the list.

Dr. Manju further emphasized that voters above 40 years of age—those mapped from the 2002 voter list—should be given priority. Local supervisors were directed to regularly review the work of BLOs, and volunteers should be deployed in areas where progress is slow. BLOs were also instructed to prepare reports on voters who are yet to be mapped and to make additional efforts to complete their mapping. She encouraged maximizing online submission of enumeration forms.

Deputy District Election Officer Shri Subhash Kumar and Shri Ravi Shankar were also present during the inspection.

Technical Teams Addressing BLO Issues
Meanwhile, dedicated technical teams are actively working at both district and subdivision headquarters to resolve technical issues faced by BLOs during EF distribution. Teams from NIC and DOIT are assisting BLOs through video conferencing, promptly resolving any field-related technical difficulties reported by them.
