Sanitation Workers Demand Pending Salary Release for Tractor-Trolley Drivers and Helpers Across 65 City Wards

Sri Ganganagar. Led by All India Safai Mazdoor Congress Union President Umesh Valmiki, District President Anil Dhariwal, and former President Sunil Sethi Valmiki, sanitation workers submitted a memorandum to Municipal Council Commissioner Ravindra Singh Yadav on Friday. The union demanded the immediate release of pending salaries for tractor-trolley operators, drivers, and helpers engaged in waste collection across 65 wards of Sri Ganganagar city.

Union representatives—including Umesh Valmiki, Anil Dhariwal, Sunil Sethi Valmiki, Basant Sarawan, Karan Valmiki, Sandeep Jhunjh, Nandu Sarsar, Sampat Valmiki, Karan Sarsar, Shiva Valmiki, and Sikander Kumar—were present during the submission.

According to Union President Umesh Valmiki and District President Anil Dhariwal, salaries for the months of August, September, and October 2025 have not been paid to the tractor-trolley staff, drivers, and helpers. This delay has caused severe hardship for the workers, affecting their daily living and the upkeep of their families. The persistent delay has triggered widespread resentment among the workers.

The union has demanded immediate clearance of all pending dues. They warned that if salaries are not released promptly, workers will be compelled to halt sanitation services and begin protests, including strikes and demonstrations. The union stated that the entire responsibility for any disruption will rest with the municipal administration.
