Women Informed About Various Welfare Schemes; Beneficiaries Receive Financial Assistance Cheques

Sri Ganganagar: The Department of Women Empowerment organized a Nari Chaupal (Women’s Forum) program on Wednesday at the Zila Parishad Auditorium under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Mrs. Reena.

Addressing the gathering, Assistant Director of the Women Empowerment Department, Shri Vijay Kumar, highlighted the objectives of the Nari Chaupal initiative. He stated that the primary aim of the program is to strengthen women’s leadership and decision-making abilities, ensure their access to government schemes and services, and promote their social and economic empowerment. He also emphasized the importance of developing community-based solutions to address issues affecting women.

Representatives from the Social Welfare Department, Child Welfare Committee, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), and other related departments participated in the program. The Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) of the Zila Parishad provided detailed information about various government welfare schemes.

During the event, women were informed about several important schemes, including the Lado Protsahan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Kanyadan Yojana, Social Pension Scheme, Palanhar Yojana, and various self-employment and entrepreneurship development programs. Participants were also made aware of their rights, safety measures, support services, and the benefits available under different government initiatives.

The Nari Chaupal provided women with an open platform to share their concerns, suggestions, and experiences, thereby encouraging greater participation and empowerment.

On the occasion, financial assistance cheques sanctioned under various welfare schemes were distributed to beneficiaries including Ekta, Vanshika, Muskan, Neha, and Nayi Kiran. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the State Government for implementing these welfare initiatives, stating that the schemes had not only provided financial support but also helped them move towards self-reliance and economic independence.

Officials present at the event encouraged women to make full use of the available government schemes and to spread awareness about these opportunities among other needy women in their communities.
