Rajasthan Under-9 Chess Championship: Abhivadan from Dausa and Shreyanshi from Jaipur Emerge Winners

Udaipur successfully hosted the Rajasthan State Under-9 Chess Championship, organized by the District Chess Association Udaipur under the aegis of the Rajasthan Chess Association and with the support of Sri Chaitanya Techno School. The two-day event concluded on Friday and saw participation from over 85 young chess players representing 15 districts of Rajasthan, including Udaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Kota, and Sri Ganganagar.

The closing ceremony featured Mrs. Prashanti Kripa, Principal of Sri Chaitanya Techno School, as the chief guest, and prominent guests such as Ranjit Singh Champawat (Academic Dean), Priyansh Pagaria, Kapil Dagliya, Bharat Prakash Dagliya, Lokesh Bapna, Shilpa Bapna, and Lajwanti Dagliya. The panel of arbiters included Rohit Lodha, Vikas Chandel, and Meenal Jain.

In the Open Category, after seven rounds:

  • Abhivadan Bhaduka (Dausa) secured first place with 6 points, clinching the championship title.

  • Vyansh Bhatnagar (Udaipur) finished as runner-up, also with 6 points.

  • Yuvraj Vaishnav (Jodhpur) stood third, also scoring 6 points.

The 4th to 10th positions were secured by:

  • Urvil Maurya (Kota),

  • Sujyot Kale (Udaipur),

  • Abhyuday Bhaduka (Dausa),

  • Aarav Mathur and Harsh Mamtani (Jaipur),

  • Adwik Sharma (Ajmer), and

  • Vivek Gehlot (Jodhpur).

In the Girls' Category, after six rounds:

  • Shreyanshi Jain (Jaipur) emerged champion with 6 points.

  • Ghritakshi Lalwani (Kota) and Tisha Byadwal (Jaipur) stood second and third, respectively, with 5 points each.

Others in the Top 10 included:

  • Garima Choudhary (Nagaur),

  • Paushita Paliwal (Udaipur),

  • Divisha Vaishnav (Ajmer),

  • Arya Jaiman and Sambodhi Gupta (Jaipur),

  • Jivika Panwar (Bikaner), and

  • Prisha Kataria (Udaipur).

District Association President Sonal Garg informed that the top two players in the Open CategoryAbhivadan Bhaduka (Dausa) and Vyansh Bhatnagar (Udaipur) – and the top five girlsShreyanshi Jain (Jaipur), Ghritakshi Lalwani (Kota), Tisha Byadwal (Jaipur), Garima Choudhary (Nagaur), and Paushita Paliwal (Udaipur) – will represent Rajasthan in the upcoming National Under-9 Chess Championship to be held in Gurugram, Haryana.

Both the District Chess Association Udaipur and the Rajasthan Chess Association were praised for their commendable efforts in successfully organizing the event.
