Rockwoods Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup 2026 : Thrilling Matches and Stellar Performances Win Hearts in Udaipur

Udaipur: The Rockwoods Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup 2026 was held with tremendous enthusiasm and a large turnout of spectators at the Wonder Cement Cricket Academy, Shikarbadi Cricket Ground. The opening day featured two exciting matches that delivered high-octane entertainment for cricket lovers.

First Match

The first match of the day was played between Gross (Steadfast Warriors) and Ran Star Cricket Club (Hastinapur Warriors). Steadfast Warriors put up an impressive performance to secure a convincing 48-run victory.

Nitish Reddy starred for Steadfast Warriors, smashing a brilliant 73 runs off 47 balls to guide his team to a commanding total. His aggressive batting set the tone of the match. In the bowling department, Shubhankar Tyagi claimed 3 crucial wickets in his 4-over spell, putting the opposition under immense pressure.

The presence of renowned players like Pawan Negi, Rishi Dhawan, and Abhinandan Singh added further excitement to the contest, and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed their performances.

Second Match

The second thrilling encounter was played between CPS (Mewar Royals) and Sporting Club Najafgarh (Sultans of Najafgarh). After winning the toss, Mewar Royals opted to bowl first, and their bowlers delivered an outstanding performance.

Pradyumn Parikh was the standout performer with the ball, conceding just 9 runs in his 4 overs while taking 4 wickets, dismantling the opposition’s batting lineup.

Chasing the target, Karan Singh played a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 60 runs off just 37 balls, including six fours and two sixes. Thanks to his superb innings, Mewar Royals clinched a comfortable 5-wicket victory.

Award Ceremony

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Nitish Reddy was awarded the Player of the Match for the first game by Balwant Sharma (former international umpire), Mahendra Sharma (former Secretary of the Rajasthan Cricket Association), and Satish Sharma (MMPS School).

For the second match, Pradyumn Parikh received the Player of the Match award from Sunil Laddha, President of the Rockwoods Blazing Strikers Cricket Cup. Both players were presented with a cheque of ₹5,000 each along with a memento.

The event was graced by Organizing Secretary Vivek Ghai, District Association Secretary Manoj Chaudhary, Treasurer Mahendra Sharma, Chief Advisor Manish Agarwal, and Director Abraham Kumar. The program began with the National Anthem, followed by a sportsmanship oath administered by national player Karn Dave. District Secretary Manoj Chaudhary briefly outlined the tournament structure.

Tournament Highlights

The tournament is being organized by Decode. A key highlight of the event is the live broadcast of all matches using an 8-camera setup, offering a professional viewing experience. The first match is scheduled at 3:30 PM and the second at 7:30 PM daily.
