Udaipur. A new chapter in India’s economic history was written when the GST 2.0 reform, announced by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from the Red Fort on 15 August 2025 and approved by the GST Council on 3 September 2025, was hailed by Laghu Udyog Bharati as “historic and transformational.”

Set to be implemented from 22 September 2025, the reform has introduced simplified and rationalized tax slabs of 5% and 18%. This decisive move is expected to empower millions of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the nation with enhanced strength, competitiveness, and a stronger presence in the global market.

National President Shri Ghanshyam Ojha stated:
