The state-level literary and cultural competition of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) 2025 concluded on Friday with a grand ceremony at Sukhadia Rangmanch, Udaipur Municipal Corporation. The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Babulal Kharadi, Minister for Tribal Area Development, while the function was presided over by Kunjilal Meena, Additional Chief Secretary, TAD. The event was also graced by Kanhaiyalal Swami, Commissioner TAD; Bhairaram Choudhary, Commissioner Income Tax; and Rakesh Jain, Assistant Commissioner CGST as distinguished guests.

The three-day festival featured 30 categories of literary and cultural competitions, hosted across five stages at Mahapragya Vihar, Udaipur. Students from EMRS schools across the state showcased their talents in diverse areas such as patriotic songs, tribal dances, classical and folk music, debate, extempore, quiz, poetry recitation, and creative writing.

Among the highlights:

EMRS Kushalgarh secured first position in Junior Patriotic Group Song, while EMRS Rishabhdev stood second.

In Junior Tribal Group Dance, EMRS Surajgaon claimed first prize, followed by EMRS Sundarrao.

Jagat Damor (EMRS Seemalwara) and Bhagyashree Bhagora (EMRS Surajgaon) excelled in Junior Classical Solo Singing.

Sumit Rawat (EMRS Kushalgarh) and Rahul Kumar Kharadi (EMRS Kotda) won top honors in Junior Tribal Painting.

In debate and extempore (Senior categories), several schools including EMRS Timarwa, Ranoli, Ambapura, and Nimbahera emerged as strong performers.

The competitions also extended to teachers’ categories, where educators showcased their expertise in classical, semi-classical, and folk music.

The closing ceremony was marked with vibrant performances and acknowledgment of winners across all categories. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Suresh Kumar Maheshwari, Consultant, EMRS State Society.

This state-level platform not only encouraged creativity but also celebrated the rich tribal culture and linguistic diversity of Rajasthan, creating opportunities for students to advance towards higher levels of competition.
