Udaipur,  The meetings of the Research Board, Academic Council and Finance Committee of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) were held on Monday at the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat, Pratapnagar, under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot. Several important proposals were unanimously approved during the sessions, which began with the ratification of the minutes of the previous meeting.

Prof. Sarangdevot announced that the Vice-Chancellors’ Meet of universities under the West Zone of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be held on 17–18 March 2026. Each department will prepare its own development plan, and Research & Development Centres will be established across all three campuses. The Department of History will undertake research on tribal history writing and the Bhil community. The decision to build an open theatre at the Pratapnagar campus was also taken. Prof. Sarangdevot urged all heads of departments to prepare academic calendars at the beginning of the session.

He further informed that an online workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) will be organized on 25 November in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Additionally, a Heritage Corridor will soon be developed at the Pratapnagar campus.

The meeting approved 11 new academic courses and decided to restart earlier research publications. Faculty members were encouraged to develop e-content across all four UGC-prescribed quadrants.

Deliberations were also held on the suggestions of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), new course introductions, and implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) across faculties. Challenges faced during execution were discussed, and viable solutions were shared.
