Udaipur — The Rajasthan School Education Council, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), organized an inter-departmental workshop in Udaipur aimed at strengthening coordination among key government departments working for the empowerment of adolescent girls.
A total of 120 representatives from the departments of Education, Health, Women Empowerment, and Child Welfare from Udaipur, Salumber, Dungarpur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, and Pratapgarh participated in the workshop.
Discussions focused on addressing the vulnerabilities of adolescent girls and ensuring access to adolescent-friendly services, particularly for students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs).
This initiative marks a significant step toward establishing a strong and sustainable multi-sectoral framework to address the challenges faced by girls studying in KGBVs. The collaboration between the Education Department and UNFPA reflects a commendable effort to promote the holistic development, safety, and empowerment of adolescent girls across the region.
