Udaipur — District Collector Namit Mehta chaired a departmental review meeting on Saturday at the Mini Auditorium of the Collectorate. Conducted in two sessions, the meeting comprehensively assessed the progress of budget announcements, flagship schemes, cases registered on the Sampark Portal, and various state government campaigns.

Collector Mehta instructed officials to ensure that the intent of the state government — to maximize the benefits of welfare schemes for the public — is effectively realized. He emphasized that the government is closely monitoring the progress of each program, and departments must complete all budget announcements within the prescribed timeframe to deliver tangible benefits to citizens. He warned that no negligence would be tolerated in the implementation of departmental schemes. The Collector also directed officers to provide progress updates in the prescribed format ahead of the upcoming state-level review meeting.

While reviewing the cases on the Sampark Portal, the Collector sought department-wise details of pending matters. He instructed officials to ensure qualitative and timely disposal of complaints, setting state averages as benchmarks for parameters such as timely redressal and complainant satisfaction.

The meeting also reviewed progress under major schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pandit Deendayal Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana, Nursery Development in Every Panchayat, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee District Upliftment Scheme, MLA and MP Local Area Development Schemes, Swamitva Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi Yojana. Similarly, discussions were held on Housing Schemes, Solid Waste Management, Annapurna Rasoi, Street Light Projects, and the Swanidhi Yojana in urban local bodies.

In addition, pending matters in the Revenue Department — including land allotment, boundary identification, stone demarcation, mutation, partition, Section 251A, and Farmer Registry — were reviewed. Other departments such as Mining, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Watershed, Planning, Industries, Health, PHED, PWD, and Electricity Corporation also presented detailed progress reports.

The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM (City) Jitendra Ojha, CEO Zila Parishad Ria Dabi, Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, Girwa SDM Avula Saikrishna, IAS trainee Srishti Dabas, and other departmental officers.
