Udaipur, The City of Lakes is all set to witness art and culture come alive on its streets as the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA), in collaboration with Urban Sketchers Udaipur, Creative Circle, and Aisa for You, presents a unique art and cultural festival — “Rangat – Raasta Ri…” The 10-day celebration, scheduled from October 6 to 16, will turn Udaipur’s streets into open platforms of artistic expression, where citizens will use imagination and creativity to redefine the city’s identity.

Ten Days of Art and Cultural Celebration

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain shared that this initiative aims to bring the cultural essence of Udaipur into public spaces. Under the festival, citizens, artists, students, architects, and designers will join hands to beautify the city’s walls, streets, and structures with colors and creativity. The festival will commence at the newly constructed RTO Underpass on Monday at 9:30 a.m., and for the next ten days, artists and citizens will participate daily from 9:30 a.m. onwards to showcase their artistic skills.

Program Convener and renowned architect Sunil S. Laddha stated that the festival coincides with World Architecture Day and symbolizes the harmony between art, culture, and urban aesthetics.

By the Citizens, For the Citizens

Laddha emphasized that “Rangat – Raasta Ri…” is not merely an art exhibition but a celebration of citizen participation. The event aims to involve every resident in the beautification of their city — transforming streets from mere pathways into vibrant platforms for creativity and dialogue.

Collaborative Effort

Several organizations have joined hands to make this initiative a success, including UDA, Urban Sketchers Udaipur, Creative Circle, Aisa for You, Wonder Cement, Birla Opus Paints, BNI Udaipur, IIA, IIID, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UCCI), and Udaipur Blog. The event will serve as a bridge connecting art, culture, and urban development.

An Open Invitation to All

UDA Director (Engineering) Sanjeev Sharma mentioned that this festival belongs to the people — created by and for them. He added, “Everyone is welcome; just bring your enthusiasm — we will take care of the rest. Every color will tell a story, and every stroke will become a part of the city’s identity.”
