Kota, In a deeply emotional celebration ahead of Raksha Bandhan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajasthan's Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar participated in a special event held in the Bapawar region, where hundreds of women from the area, lovingly referred to as “Ladli Sisters,” tied rakhis on their wrists. The gesture symbolized a bond of service, devotion, and trust, which both leaders pledged to honor with sincerity.

The atmosphere across the region was festive and vibrant, as thousands of women arrived carrying rakhis and coconuts to mark the occasion. Although the event was not a familial gathering, it radiated warmth, unity, and mutual respect.

The first rakhi was ceremoniously tied by braveheart Madhubala Meena. Following this, women performed traditional rituals — applying tilak, tying rakhi, and offering coconuts — while wishing the Speaker a long, prosperous, and healthy life.
