Udaipur: The BJP City District of Udaipur organized an inspirational seminar and press conference on “Self-Reliant India – A Pledge for a Strong Nation”. The event featured MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat as the chief speaker and was chaired by BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore.

In his address, Dr. Rawat emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India is the foundation for the nation’s new dawn. He urged youth, women entrepreneurs, small business owners, and citizens to pledge to adopt Swadeshi products. Dr. Rawat stated that embracing Swadeshi should not be an option but a firm commitment, as national progress is possible only when each citizen is self-reliant.

The Self-Reliant India campaign will run from September 25, 2025 (Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Jayanti) to December 25, 2025 (Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee Jayanti), covering all blocks and villages of the district. The campaign will be implemented in phases: awareness and outreach programs across districts in October, followed by all blocks in November and December.

Key Initiatives:

Start from the Kitchen: Promote Swadeshi products in households.

Schools & Colleges: Students will sign pledge letters on “I will adopt Swadeshi” on signature walls.

Swadeshi Fairs: Local artisans, traders, and entrepreneurs will showcase and sell indigenous products.

Cultural Engagement: Local artists and prominent personalities invited to raise awareness.

Art Competitions: Painting, rangoli, and wall painting contests.

One District One Product (ODOP) Exhibitions: Promoting local products at state level.

SHG & Cottage Industry Training: Packaging and branding workshops.

Self-Reliant India Selfie Points: Created at each program for social media promotion.

Dr. Rawat also urged citizens during Diwali to buy local crafts, textiles, and clay lamps produced by artisans. District President Gajpal Singh Rathore highlighted that self-reliance symbolizes cultural and mental independence. Party workers pledged to transform this initiative into a people’s movement.

The program began with a two-minute silence in memory of late journalist Krishna Tanwar and was attended by senior officials, block presidents, media representatives, and a large number of party workers.

This comprehensive campaign aims to promote economic self-reliance, strengthen local industries, empower women and youth entrepreneurs, preserve culture, and build a sustainable, self-reliant India from the grassroots up.
