Udaipur, Preparations are in full swing for the two-day National Conference of Tourism Ministers from various states, scheduled to be held on 14–15 October in Udaipur, the city of lakes. On Sunday, District Collector Namit Mehta and Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal visited the venue, Hotel Marriott, to review arrangements and hold a briefing with officials.

The conference will see participation from Governors of several states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories, the Union Tourism Minister, State Tourism Ministers, and senior officials of the Government of India and Rajasthan. The state will be represented by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.

During the inspection, Collector Mehta took feedback from Joint Director of Tourism, Sumita Saroch, regarding hospitality arrangements for the guests, including accommodation, meals, venue setup, and branding. He also interacted with hotel management and officials from the India Tourism Development Corporation Limited to ensure smooth organization of the event.

SP Goyal reviewed security arrangements for VVIPs, venue security, and traffic management, issuing necessary directives. Collector Mehta instructed the setup of help desks and medical teams both at the airport and the venue. He also directed the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) to repair and beautify the roads leading to the venue.

Officials present at the meeting included Additional District Collector Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, SDM Badgaon Latika Paliwal, Deputy Director Tourism Shikha Saxena, District Supply Officer Manish Bhatnagar, Public Relations Deputy Director Gaurikant Sharma, ACMHO Dr. Ragini, Municipal Chief Engineer Mukesh Pujari, Health Officer Satyanarayan Sharma, and Kajri Manager Kamlesh Verma, among others.
