Udaipur: On the occasion of the death anniversary of freedom fighter and former Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Singh Shaktawat, tributes were paid at his memorial in Ashok Nagar on Sunday by Congress leaders, family members, and various social organizations.

His son Devendra Singh Shaktawat and grandson Vindhyaraj Singh lit lamps and offered floral tributes. All attendees at the memorial gathering remembered Shaktawat’s contributions and paid heartfelt homage, pledging to follow his ideals.

The program was attended by former Speaker of the Assembly Shantilal Chaplot, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Fahat Singh Rathore, Kachru Lal Chaudhary, Bhimsingh Chundawat, Daryav Singh Chundawat, Suresh Shrimali, Jagdish Raj Shrimali, Ajay Singh, Lakshminarayan Pandya, Sanjay Mandwani, Subhash Chittora, along with several other Congress leaders and social workers.

At the Congress Media Center “Rakshabandhan Dhanmandi,” General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma paid floral tributes at a portrait of Gulab Singh Shaktawat. Sharma remarked that Shaktawat set an inspiring example through his principles, honesty, and public service—from the freedom movement to Rajasthan’s political landscape. He devoted his life to the welfare of the poor, farmers, and marginalized communities.

The event was also attended by notable figures including Om Prakash Agal, Ashok Tamboli, Subhash Chittora, Govind Saxena, Kripashankar Mishra, Sajjad Khan, Narendra Sarraf, Naresh Sahu, Mohanlal Meghwal, Jamna Giri, and Yashpal Sharma.

All participants honored Shaktawat’s legacy and contributions to society and politics, vowing to uphold his values.
