The floral painting exhibition ‘Sparsh’ by Surendranagar, Gujarat–based emerging artist Dhara Kothari, created using water-soluble pencil colours, was inaugurated on Friday evening at Bagore ki Haveli, Udaipur.

The opening took place in the presence of renowned artist Harsh Chhajed, Assistant Director (Finance & Accounts), West Zone Cultural Centre Udaipur, Durgesh Chandwani, Programme Executive Hemant Mehta, noted sculpture artist Hemant Joshi, celebrated architect and sketch artist Sunil Laddhaji, traveller and influencer Sandeep Rathoreji, and Gujarat’s respected artist and mentor Tarun Kothari, who has been honoured by the India Book of World Records.

The exhibition was uniquely inaugurated without lighting lamps or cutting ribbons, but by watering plants, symbolising a heartfelt appeal to humanity — a message emphasising the need to protect nature.

The colourful floral exhibition ‘Sparsh’ will remain open to the public till 23 November, from 10 AM to 8 PM.

This painting exhibition has been organised with financial support from the Gujarat State Arts Academy.
