Udaipur:A grand nine-day Shri Mahalakshmi Koti Kumkumaarchan Maha Yagya, Pooja and Sadhana Mahotsav will be organised in Udaipur from December 28, 2025, to January 5, 2026, under the spiritual guidance of Krisnagiri Peethadhishwar Pujya Jagatguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj. The announcement was made during a press conference held in the city, which was also attended by the Jagatguru himself.

Providing details of the proposed event, Sankesh Jain, Vice President of the Mahotsav Organising Committee, said the mega spiritual gathering will take place at a large venue near Magnus Hospital in Meera Nagar, Udaipur. He said the event aims to promote peace, prosperity, spiritual balance and collective welfare at the beginning of the New Year.

Jain informed that the Maha Yagya will feature one crore kumkum offerings, 1,008 Ashtalakshmi Kalash Siddhi, and elaborate rituals performed with sacred herbs, medicinal plants, dry fruits, sandalwood and pure cow ghee. Around 135 Vedic scholars from Kashi will conduct the rituals with continuous Vedic chanting.

Addressing the press conference, Jagatguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj said that Yagya and collective sadhana are time-tested spiritual sciences that help restore harmony in individual and social life. He said the Mahalakshmi Maha Yagya is not meant only for material prosperity, but for establishing balance between wealth, values and inner peace.

The Jagatguru described Udaipur as a land of spirituality, sacrifice and cultural heritage, and said that conducting such a Maha Yagya on the sacred soil of Mewar would enhance its spiritual impact. He also urged people to welcome the New Year through sadhana, service and positive resolve rather than mere celebration.

According to the organisers, daily activities during the Mahotsav will include morning japa and sadhana sessions, afternoon Mahalakshmi Yagya, and evening discourses from the Shiv Mahapuran by Jagatguru Giri Ji Maharaj. Free food (prasadi) will be served to devotees every evening.

The event will also feature devotional music evenings with renowned artists including Daler Mehndi, Lakhbir Singh Lakha, Shivamani and Kirtidan Gadhvi.

Jain added that a spiritual township spread over nearly 4.5 lakh square feet is being developed for the event, featuring a grand Yagya Shala, Katha Pandals, food courts and four main entrance gates. Entry to all programmes will be free for devotees.

Committee office bearers Nanalal Baya (President), Devendra Mehta (General Secretary), Mukesh Chelawat (Minister) and Ritesh Nahar (Treasurer) were also present at the press conference.
