Udaipur:Neerja Modi School, operated under the Sogatiya group, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth, creating a memorable experience for both children and their grandparents. The event, specially organized for pre-primary students, welcomed grandparents—dada-dadis and nana-nanis—into the school campus to relive the charm of the 1970s.

The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by a melodious welcome song. The occasion was graced by former Udaipur Mayor Rajni Dangi and J.C. Biswas, adding prestige to the event.

A vibrant depiction of 1970s Indian culture, lifestyle, and entertainment formed the highlight of the program. Children and grandparents joyfully participated together in traditional games such as Stapoo, Rolling Tyre, Balloon Dart, and Ring Toss, reviving fond childhood memories. The grandparents also swayed to their favorite old melodies, while cheerful moments were captured through selfies with their grandchildren.

The core objective of the program was to strengthen the emotional bond between children and their grandparents and to provide children an opportunity to learn from the experiences, values, and traditions of the older generation.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Dr. Mahendra Sogatiya said that such events aim to nurture children’s affection towards their grandparents while helping them understand and appreciate traditional games and the simplicity of earlier times.
Director Sakshi Sogatiya shared that the school regularly organizes such meaningful programs to ensure children stay connected with their loved ones and learn valuable life lessons from the past.

The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind smiles, memories, and a beautiful blend of generations united through love and nostalgia.
