UdaipurA serious case of alleged land grabbing has surfaced from the Bhuvana area of Udaipur, where a tribal family is accused of being forcibly held hostage and deprived of land worth nearly ₹25 crore through a well-planned conspiracy. Shockingly, allegations suggest that the victim family itself has been falsely implicated as the accused, raising grave concerns across the state.
Reacting strongly to the incident, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Spokesperson Pankaj Kumar Sharma has written a letter to the Chief Minister, condemning the incident and demanding immediate intervention. In his letter, Sharma alleged that the role of a BJP विधायक (MLA), other public representatives, and certain police officials appears highly suspicious.
Sharma stated that the case reflects a blatant disregard for court orders, misuse of power and influence, and a disturbing nexus between the police administration and land mafia. He further alleged that to shield influential individuals, false cases were deliberately imposed on the tribal family, forcing them to wander from pillar to post in search of justice.
Issuing a strong warning, Sharma said that the Congress party will not remain silent on such gross violations of tribal rights. If a fair, independent, and high-level inquiry is not conducted, the party will launch a statewide agitation—from the streets to the legislature.
The Congress has demanded:
An independent investigation into the entire episode
Strict action against guilty officials and land mafia elements
Justice, protection, and restoration of rights for the affected tribal family
The incident has once again brought the issue of tribal land rights and administrative accountability into sharp focus in Rajasthan.
