Udaipur: Maharana Mewar Vidya Mandir, Ambamata, Udaipur, celebrated its annual festival “Happy Feet” on Friday with a vibrant and grand event themed on a journey across different countries of the world. The showcase of diverse global cultures on a single stage mesmerized the audience.
The program commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony before the idol of Mata Saraswati. Earlier, the school band welcomed the dignitaries with grandeur. The Chief Guest for the event was Wing Commander Nataraj Dagar. Special Guests included Shreyansh Bhandari (Director, Heritage Girls School) and Mrs. Aishwarya Bhati (Additional Solicitor General, Supreme Court of India). The event was also graced by Maharani Saheba Nivrutti Kumari Mewar and the school’s Honorary Director S.K. Sharma.
Principal Mrs. Pratima Sharma extended a warm welcome to the chief guest, special guests, parents, and students, emphasizing that such cultural programs significantly contribute to the holistic development of students. She shared that the performances included Hello Dance, Hawaiian Dance, Manjurka Dance, Fun Dance, Samba Do Dance, Flamenco, Ball Dance, as well as traditional dances from Rajasthan, South India, and Nagaland, all of which received high appreciation from the audience.
In their addresses, the guests noted that cultural events like these help students develop confidence, discipline, and a deep respect for Indian culture.
A major highlight of the program was a dance-drama based on the valor of India’s legendary rulers and warriors. The performance depicted the heroism, courage, and sacrifices of Emperor Vikramaditya, Emperor Ashoka, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh, Tipu Sultan, and Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, leaving a powerful impression on the audience.
During the event, students were felicitated for their outstanding achievements with awards, medals, and certificates. The program concluded with the national song “Vande Mataram”, marking a patriotic and inspiring finale.
