Udaipur: Rotary Club Udyam took an important step towards making rural communities self-reliant and economically empowered by organizing a mushroom cultivation training session for villagers of the nearby Kaya village area. The programme aimed to promote mushrooms as a sustainable crop and provide farmers with an additional source of income.
On this occasion, Club President Vaibhav Sharma stated that mushroom cultivation is a low-cost, high-return activity that can significantly strengthen the financial condition of rural families. Event Chairs Rahul Sagar and Devendra Chaudhary added that if mushrooms are included in the Mid-Day Meal Scheme, the nutritional value of children’s meals would increase, leading to a notable improvement in their overall nutrition levels.
The programme was organized by Rotary Club of Udaipur Udyam in collaboration with the government institution RCA College. During the training session, RCA College experts Dr. Narayan Lal Meena, Avinash Kumar Nagda, and Kishan Singh Rajput provided practical training on the cultivation of various mushroom varieties.
As part of the club’s ongoing village development project “Akshay Urja”, two solar tube lights were also donated to the village. The villagers welcomed this initiative and described it as highly beneficial for the area.
