Udaipur. In a significant step towards strengthening women’s safety, dignity, and rights, a Women Counseling and Safety Center was inaugurated at Ambamata Police Station on Saturday under the initiative of the Department of Women Empowerment. The inauguration was held in the presence of the city MLA Shri Tarachand Jain as the Chief Guest.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Tarachand Jain stated that women, with patience and positive thinking, play a vital role in strengthening families and shaping a bright future for children. City West Circle Officer Shri Rajesh Yadav emphasized that a family has two pillars, and only with equal participation of both can a strong and stable family be built.
Deputy Director of the Department of Women Empowerment Shri Sanjay Joshi informed that the center will serve as a reliable platform for justice, protection, counseling, and legal assistance for women and children. He said that the center will not be limited to grievance redressal alone, but will also play a crucial role in preventing family breakdowns, creating a violence-free environment, and empowering affected women towards self-reliance. Continuous services at the center will be provided by a legal counselor and a social worker.
During the programme, Gender Specialist Smt. Vimla Veerwal administered a pledge under the child marriage prevention and awareness campaign. Following the programme, a rally was organized by women, spreading messages of women empowerment and a violence-free society. The rally emphasized prevention of crimes against women and the importance of equal rights.
Sub-Inspector and Acting Station House Officer Shri Ajay Raj Singh expressed gratitude at the conclusion of the event.
