Udaipur, The 27th Mass Wedding Ceremony organised by the Rajput Mahasabha Sansthan, Udaipur Division, will be held on February 10 at the Fateh School Ground near Surajpole in the city.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday at Hotel Dev Darshan, Surajpole, Rajput Mahasabha President Sant Singh Bhati said the 27th edition of the mass wedding will be historic. So far, 40 couples have been registered, and the entire ceremony will be conducted free of cost. A symbolic token amount of just Re 1 is being taken from each bride and groom.

A total of 40 wedding mandaps will be set up at the venue, and 40 priests will perform the marriage rituals according to traditional customs. Bhati informed that a grand wedding procession will be taken out on February 10 at 9 am from Town Hall. Arrangements have been made for 40 horses and 10 carriages for the bridegrooms. Accompanied by bands, the procession will pass through Surajpole and Fateh Memorial Road before reaching the Fateh School Ground.

A day prior to the wedding, on February 9, women’s sangeet along with haldi and mehendi ceremonies for the couples will be organised at Hotel Dev Darshan.

Mahasabha General Secretary Pradeep Singh Bhati said that several eminent personalities will attend the ceremony, including industrialist and social worker Meghraj Singh Royal, social worker Thakur Sahib Ratan Singh Jhala, Ram Pratap Singh Digi, former minister and social worker Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, social worker Colonel Prof. S. S. Sarangdevot, young entrepreneur and social worker Himmat Singh Jhala, and former MLA Maharaj Randhir Singh Bhinder. On the occasion, Vibhuti Samman, Samaj Gaurav Samman, Bhamashah Samman, and Kshatriya–Kshatrani Samman will also be conferred.

Mahasabha Secretary Hitendra Singh Rathore said that various committees have been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Arrangements have been made for drinking water, parking, security, and separate dining areas for men and women. Accommodation for guests and participating couples has been arranged at Hotel Dev Darshan on February 9, while accommodation for the brides has been arranged at Vasupujya Jain Dharamshala.
