Udaipur: A National Seminar was organized at Adinath Women Teacher Training College, Udaipur, on the theme “National Education Policy 2020: A Reflection.” The seminar was convened and coordinated by Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar, who also served as the Seminar Secretary.
Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar informed that around 160 research scholars, faculty members, and students from various colleges and universities participated in the national seminar. The inaugural session was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Anuj Bhatnagar, Deputy Commissioner, SGST Department, Udaipur; Keynote Speaker Professor A. B. Phatak, renowned educationist; President Dr. Hari Singh Kanthalia, Founder of Adinath Education Society; and Special Guest Professor Digvijay Bhatnagar, Chairman, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, along with the college principal and other distinguished dignitaries.
Members of the Advisory Committee, including educationists Professor M. P. Sharma, Professor Divya Prabha Nagar, Dr. Manoj Dadhich, and Professor D. N. Dani, were also present. In his keynote address, Professor A. B. Phatak emphasized the need for research on India’s ancient knowledge traditions. After the inaugural session, participants presented and discussed their research papers in various technical sessions.
During the valedictory session, the Chief Guest was Shri Vivek Bhatnagar, Research Director, Centre for Civilizational Studies, Udaipur. Special guests included Professor Meena Goud, former Chairperson of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and former Head of the History Department, Mohanlal Sukhadia University. In the concluding session, Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar summarized the research papers presented and highlighted, in a consolidated manner, the suggestions emerging from the papers regarding the contemporary relevance of future education policy programs. The session was moderated by Dr. Piyu Jain.
The diverse aspects of the National Education Policy 2020 that emerged from the in-depth discussions at the seminar will be disseminated to educational institutions, with special emphasis on their implementation in both higher education and school education systems.
