Udaipur: A meaningful and positive interaction was held with former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during the state-level virtual meeting of the Mahatma Gandhi Jeevan Darshan Samiti. Coordinators of the Samiti from across Rajasthan participated in the meeting and held detailed discussions on various contemporary and organizational matters.
From Udaipur, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Coordinator of the Mahatma Gandhi Shrinath Darshan Samiti, presented important suggestions during the interaction. He proposed that meritorious students securing more than 70 percent marks in Classes 10 and 12, as well as outstanding sportspersons in Rajasthan, should be honored and awarded at the district and block levels. He stated that such an initiative would boost the morale of talented students and athletes and encourage healthy competition in the fields of education and sports.
The meeting placed special emphasis on spreading the thoughts and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi among the masses. Speakers highlighted the need to re-establish the principles of truth, non-violence, and service in society, especially in the present times, so that the younger generation can draw inspiration from his life values and actively contribute to nation-building.
Along with Ashok Gehlot, Girdhari Lal Bafna and Shyam Sundar Joshi were also present at the virtual meeting. The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with a unanimous resolution to continue working constructively on issues concerning social welfare and national interest in the future.
