Udaipur: A meeting of the Bhartiya Navvarsh Samajotsav Samiti, Udaipur, was held to plan the upcoming celebrations of the Hindu New Year. During the meeting, the outline for the Bhagwa four-wheeler rally scheduled on March 18 and the grand procession and religious gathering on March 22 was finalized. Responsibilities for various arrangements were also assigned to community members.
Coordinator Dr. Paramveer Singh Dulawat informed that a special musical performance by Rapperiya Baalam fame artist Ashok Manda Vishnoi will be held at 7:00 PM during the religious gathering on March 22. He is widely known for blending traditional Rajasthani folk music with modern hip-hop. Ashok Vishnoi is originally from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and is a well-known rapper, lyricist, composer, and music producer. He gained widespread recognition in 2014 with his popular song Mharo Rajasthan.
It was further shared that Rapperiya Baalam has written and performed several inspiring songs based on legendary figures such as Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mewar, and Rana Sanga, which have gained immense popularity. His rap-style presentation has made his music especially popular among the youth.
According to the organizers, the Bhagwa four-wheeler rally will begin at Mahakal Temple at 3:00 PM on March 18 and will conclude at Town Hall. On March 22, a grand procession will be taken out in the city, which will include the presence of saints and women representatives. Various communities of the city will present attractive tableaux during the procession, with nearly 100 tableaux expected to be the main attraction.
Representatives from different communities attended the meeting. It was also decided that separate meetings will now be held at the community level to ensure maximum public participation in the celebrations.
