Inspired by the city’s “Water Hero” and a senior physician, 101 doctors, NSS volunteers, students, and staff of the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences, Sai Tirupati University, Umarda, collectively pledged their commitment to water conservation.

On this occasion, all participants acknowledged the importance of water and performed a symbolic पूजा (worship) of water sources. They took an oath to use water wisely in their daily lives and to continuously work toward its conservation.

The program was coordinated by NSS in-charge Dr. Avantika Gupta. Dean Dr. Suresh Goyal, Dr. Dilip Parik, and other faculty members were also present.

Water Source Worship Also Held in Badrana (Jhadol)

Under the leadership of Deepika Sharma, a “Water Worship Ritual” program was organized at the local Government Senior Secondary School in Badrana (Jhadol). The initiative highlighted a rooftop rainwater harvesting system established in 2020 by Mewar Polytex. Students participated in the ceremony and took a pledge to conserve water.

It is noteworthy that recharging the tubewell through this system has also helped recharge nearby hand pumps, preventing them from drying up during the summer season.
