Udaipur, A memorable literary and musical evening was witnessed at the Soochna Kendra Auditorium, where two remarkable works by poet, writer, musician, and Rajasthani translator Pushkar ‘Gupteshwar’ were ceremoniously released. The books included “Shri Ramcharitmanas: Rajasthani Kavyanuvad”, a poetic translation of Goswami Tulsidas’ timeless epic into the Rajasthani language, and “Rag Ras Rang Kundaliya”, a distinctive creation presenting the poetic essence of classical music ragas. The event was jointly organized by Shrinadbhram Sansthan and Sahaj Prakashan in the presence of distinguished personalities from literature and music.

The ceremony was presided over by veteran litterateur Dr. Dev Kothari, former Chairman of the Rajasthani Bhasha Sahitya and Sanskriti Academy, while eminent musicologist Dr. Prem Bhandari, former Head of the Music Department, MLSU, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Special guests included Vijayendra Singh Sarangdevot of Lakshmanpura, Purushottam ‘Pallav’, Dr. Jayprakash Pandya ‘Jyotipunj’, and Dr. Shrikrishna ‘Jugnu’.

The proceedings commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to Maa Saraswati and Hanumanji, followed by an introduction by program conductor Pramila Sharad Vyas, who reflected on the contributions of Pushkar Gupteshwar and the initiatives of Shrinadbhram Sansthan.

In their addresses, speakers praised the released works. Dr. Dev Kothari hailed the Rajasthani Ramcharitmanas translation as a “treasured and much-needed volume for the literary world,” while Dr. Prem Bhandari lauded Rag Ras Rang Kundaliya as “a vital resource for students and researchers of classical music.” Purushottam Pallav emphasized the spiritual lineage of saintly traditions that Gupteshwar has carried forward, while Dr. Jyotipunj called both works “a rare and valuable contribution to literature and music.” Dr. Shrikrishna Jugnu remarked that the translation was not merely linguistic but a cultural reinstatement of the Ramcharit tradition in Mewar.

On this occasion, Pushkar Gupteshwar himself recited verses from both volumes, enchanting the audience with the devotional and artistic flavor of his works. Honors were conferred on distinguished guests and contributors, including Ramcharitmanas scholar K.D. Sharma and Dr. Kamal Mehra, while several literary and cultural figures felicitated the author.

The evening concluded with warm tributes, spirited recitations, and a celebration of Rajasthani literature and music. The ceremony was jointly conducted by Pramila Sharad Vyas and Kapil Paliwal, with the presence of many prominent writers, musicians, and admirers.
