Udaipur: Udaipur athletes delivered a remarkable performance at the 13th National Pencak Silat Championship, held over five days at Koppal District Stadium, Karnataka, representing Rajasthan. The city’s participants brought home one silver and five bronze medals, making the state proud.

Harish Kumar Sanwaria, Secretary of the Udaipur District Pencak Silat Association, stated that Pencak Silat is an Indonesian martial art recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sports Authority of India, and Khelo India. A total of 15 athletes from Udaipur represented the Rajasthan team, with 6 athletes winning medals in their respective categories.

Medal Winners:

Harish Kumar Sanwaria added that around 1,500 young athletes from across India participated in the championship. The achievements of these medalists have brought pride not only to Udaipur but to the entire state of Rajasthan. The victories were celebrated and congratulated by sports officials, parents, and fellow athletes.
