Udaipur. The Sailing Expedition Camp organized by 1 Raj Naval Unit, Udaipur, under the aegis of NCC Directorate Rajasthan, Jaipur, and NCC Group Headquarters, Udaipur, commenced on Tuesday at Fatehsagar Lake. The camp was inaugurated jointly by Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Umesh Ojha and Commanding Officer Shakeel Ahmed.

Commander Shakeel Ahmed informed that the camp will continue for ten days and will witness the participation of 110 cadets from three NCC units of the Rajasthan Directorate. Before being selected for this camp, the cadets underwent multiple stages of rigorous training and evaluation. During the camp, they will practice sailing in whaler boats, covering approximately 50 kilometers daily, completing an arduous 415-kilometer journey across ten days.

The aim of the camp is not only to provide cadets with sailing proficiency but also to preserve the naval tradition, enhance team spirit, and foster leadership qualities and courage among the participants.

For the camp, Commander G.O. Mathew from Ajmer Unit has been appointed as the Officer-in-Charge by NCC Directorate Rajasthan. The cadets are receiving practical sailing training under the supervision of Chief Instructor Pradeep Kumar from the PI Staff of the Naval Unit, Udaipur.
