Divisional-Level Event at Gandhi Ground; Over 40 Stalls to be Set Up; Inauguration by Cooperation Minister

Udaipur. To mark International Year of Cooperatives, a three-day Divisional-Level Cooperative Fair will be organized at Gandhi Ground in Udaipur from November 14 to 16. The event aims to promote cooperative values, rural entrepreneurship, and self-reliance at the grassroots level.

The announcement was made during a press conference held on Tuesday at the Cooperative Bhavan, Pratapnagar, where Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Gunjan Chaube, outlined the detailed plan of the event.

Over 40 Stalls to Showcase Local Products

Chaube informed that more than 40 stalls will be set up by various cooperative societies from the seven districts of the Udaipur division. Products created by cooperative society members and Rajeevika self-help group women will be displayed and made available for sale. The fair will encourage local artisans, producers, and small enterprises by providing them a platform to market their goods and strengthen the rural economy.

Highlights: Traditional and Tribal Products

The fair will feature special exhibits including Shree Ann (millets), traditional spices, dry fruits, gajak, herbal products, tribal forest goods under Adi Haat, Banphool products, Molela terracotta art, Akola bed sheets and blankets, handmade stone art, and jute and bamboo crafts. These products will highlight local skills, traditions, and craftsmanship of rural artisans.

Inauguration and Activities

The fair will be inaugurated by State Cooperation Minister Gautam Daga. Alongside the exhibition, the fair will host membership drives and renewal campaigns for cooperative society members. Information about the Cooperative Bike Ride Scheme will also be provided to encourage youth participation in cooperative-based employment.

Cultural Performances to Add Vibrancy

Cultural programs will be held each evening. On November 14, the inaugural day, Rajasthani folk performances including Terah Tali, Ghoomar, Kalbeliya, Bhavai, Chari dance, and folk songs will be staged at 7 PM. On November 15, cooperative department officials will present music and entertainment programs. The event will conclude on November 16 at 6 PM with a closing ceremony, award distribution, and a lucky draw, where visitors who made purchases during the fair will receive gift hampers.
