Udaipur. The three-day National Conference on Agriculture and Livestock Entrepreneurship, organised jointly by Rajeevika (Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad), the Rural Development Department of Rajasthan, and the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, concluded on Thursday. The closing session featured a high-level Buyer–Seller Meet that created an exceptional platform for direct market interaction between SHG enterprises, producer groups, farmer producer organisations, and major institutional buyers from across the country.

The meeting, held in the presence of Swati Sharma, Joint Secretary (Rural Livelihoods), Ministry of Rural Development; State Mission Director Neha Giri; and R.V. Shajivna, Managing Director & CEO, Tamil Nadu SRLM, highlighted key strategies adopted by TN-SRLM for strengthening market access and enterprise development.

Focus on Enhancing Market Access for SHG Women
Rajeevika showcased market-ready products from 41 districts of Rajasthan, representing the work of thousands of SHG women engaged in spices, honey, livestock products, grains, natural farming, and processed foods. Over 25 companies from the food, agriculture, spices, livestock, processing, and export sectors participated, establishing structured dialogues with community institutions. Several leading companies signed MoUs with Rajeevika, expressing readiness for large-scale procurement from SHG enterprises—an important step toward securing assured markets for rural producers.

The meeting paved the way for direct marketing channels, enabling SHGs, PGs, and FPOs to connect with buyers while eliminating intermediaries. Buyers showed significant interest in procuring grains, honey, livestock breeds, and natural farming products from Rajasthan. Many companies also expressed willingness to integrate SHG women into procurement, processing, and logistics chains. National-level buyers praised the quality, consistency, and diversity of SHG products. Participation from more than 25 State Rural Livelihood Missions strengthened inter-state learning and collaboration.
