Udaipur. The Educational Technology Division of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) organised an online webinar on Thursday on the theme “Cyber Safety Awareness” to promote safe and responsible use of the internet among teachers, students, and parents.
In the inaugural session, DIET Principal Dr. Sheela Kahaliya highlighted the growing importance of cyber security in the digital age, stating that safe online behaviour is no longer optional but essential. She emphasised that every member of the education community must stay protected from cyber threats while benefiting from technology. Trainer Chirag Senani introduced participants to practical aspects of cyber security, covering online privacy, precautions while sharing information on social media, identification of phishing attempts, email/SMS/WhatsApp scams, safe browsing, password protection, and child online safety.
ET Division Head Bina Kanwar Rajput expressed her gratitude to all participants, noting that the webinar is a significant step toward enhancing digital awareness in schools and creating a safer online environment. She stressed that along with technological tools, personal awareness and responsible online behaviour form the foundation of a secure digital life. More than 150 teachers, principals, and education personnel from 10 blocks of Udaipur district attended the webinar and actively raised their queries, which were addressed by the experts.
