Udaipur: On the occasion of Manikarnika Jayanti (Maharani Laxmibai Jayanti), a painting competition was organized at the Department of Visual Arts under the joint auspices of Rashtra Sevika Samiti Udaipur and the Faculty of Visual Arts. Students from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Meera Girls’ College, and BN College participated enthusiastically in the event. Nearly 70 students showcased their creativity by illustrating various episodes from the life of Rani Laxmibai.
The chief guest, Prof. Madan Singh Rathore, Dean of the Arts College, addressed the gathering and emphasized that the youth are the future of India. He encouraged them to draw inspiration from the country’s rich heritage and move forward thoughtfully to achieve greater heights.
Rajshree Gandhi, National President of the Consumer Protection Organization, remarked that one should remain free in thoughts while staying rooted in values. The keynote speaker, Rajni Dangi, Chairperson of Samvardhani Seva Nyas, urged the youth to imbibe inspiration from great personalities and strive to achieve success in their lives.
In the competition, Anjali Suthar secured the first prize, Reshma Suthar won the second prize, and the third prize was awarded to Riya Chaparawal. Consolation prizes were given to Koina Dave, Tamanna Nakwal, Khushi Mali, and Ahinsa Jain.
