Udaipur: A vibrant cultural evening was organized for volunteers from across the country participating in the All India Asana and Yoga Proficiency Camp of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The program, held at the auditorium of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, showcased captivating performances of Gavri, puppet shows, and traditional Rajasthani dances.

The camp has attracted volunteers from various states of India, and the event aimed to introduce them to the rich cultural and tribal heritage of Rajasthan.

The cultural program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by senior RSS functionaries Jagdish and Shrivardhan.

Under the leadership of Gangaram Gameti, a team presented Gavri, a prominent religious folk theatre of the tribal community. Through the story of the Banjaras, the artists vividly brought to life the cultural traditions of the Mewar region. Volunteers from across India thoroughly enjoyed this performance rooted in the Bhil tribal culture.

Artists Kaumudi and Kalyani presented a graceful performance of the traditional Ghoomar dance. The Heritage Group, dedicated to preserving Rajasthani art and culture, showcased a series of traditional dances.

Under the guidance of Mahesh Ameta, puppeteer Raju Bhat delivered an impressive demonstration of Rajasthan’s famous puppet art.

Performers Luna Ameta, Payal Vaishnav, Akanksha Prajapat, Khushi, and Tara captivated the audience with beautiful performances of major Rajasthani folk dances such as Ghoomar, Chari, Bhavai, Kalbeliya, Gangaur, and Terah Taali.

Meanwhile, under the leadership of Mahboob Khan, Langa-Manganiyar artists provided musical accompaniment to each performance, showcasing the richness of Rajasthani folk music.
