UDAIPUR, India — Bharat Vikas Parishad Mewar organized a drug de-addiction pledge and "Guru Vandan–Chhatra Abhinandan" programme at St. Teresa Vidyadeep Senior Secondary School as part of its Service Fortnight campaign. Students, teachers and guests pledged to support a drug-free society while emphasizing the importance of the teacher-student tradition. Meritorious students were honored with certificates, mementos and ceremonial stoles before they, in turn, felicitated their teachers in a gesture of gratitude. Speakers highlighted the importance of addiction-free living, service and values-based education, while students also signed a pledge committing themselves to a life free from substance abuse.
