UDAIPUR, India — Scientists from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology conducted a training programme on mushroom cultivation and modern farming techniques for tribal farmers in Damana Gram Panchayat of Jhadol block. Guided by Dr. Narayan Lal Meena, the programme included distribution of mushroom cultivation equipment and practical demonstrations on scientific production methods, disease management and marketing. Experts said mushroom farming offers a low-cost, high-income livelihood opportunity while improving nutritional security. Around 50 tribal farmers participated in the programme, which also highlighted government welfare schemes, water conservation and climate-resilient agricultural practices.
